Solution

When starting the WinINSTALL Administrator Program, the error "Runtime Error 50003, unexpected error" is displayed. To resolve the issue, follow the instructions below:

1. Run the Registry Editor (REGEDIT.EXE).

2. Select HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE.

3. Select SOFTWARE.

4. Select SEAGATE SOFTWARE.

5. Select WININSTALL.

6. Delete the WININSTALL KEY (See Figure 1).

7. Reboot the workstation.

8. Re-run the WinINSTALL Administrator Program (WINADM32.EXE).
